Every small business depends on knowledge that never got written down: how you actually handle a cancellation, what you tell a customer who asks about financing, which supplier to call when the usual one is out of stock.
Most of it lives in one or two people's heads. When they are out sick, promoted, or gone, that knowledge goes with them, and everyone else is stuck guessing or interrupting the owner.
This course shows you how to build a simple, searchable home for that knowledge inside the tools you already pay for, and how to fill in the pieces that were never written down in the first place.
The idea in one picture
Think of it as a portal: one place your whole team goes to find anything.
Behind that front door sit a handful of folders, one per area of the business. Front Desk, Billing, HR, Marketing, whatever fits how you are organized. Click into any folder and you can either dig through the documents yourself, or ask a question in plain English and get an answer pulled from everything inside it. No more digging through a shared drive hoping the file is named something sensible.
When you open a folder and the answer is not in there, when no document covers it, that is a knowledge gap. Gaps are the point of the second half of this course. Instead of waiting for someone to find time to write a manual from scratch, you capture what your best person already knows by talking it through, or you turn documents you already have into something usable, and it drops straight into the right folder.
What the ten lessons cover
Lessons 2 to 6 build the thing: where it lives, who can see what, how it is organized, the front door, and the assistant that answers questions from it.
Lessons 7 to 9 keep it honest: finding the gaps, filling the ones that need a written procedure, and filling the ones that need a form and a record.
Lesson 10 is the loop, so this does not become a project that gets done once and then rots.
None of it takes a consultant. Most of it takes an afternoon.
